A little bit of background

I grew up here in Hawke’s Bay in an ag/hort/orcharding family and looking back, my memories of an abundance of space, freedom, pets and animals were idyllic and it’s funny how life turns out… after living abroad for a couple of decades I’m back in HB with my roots now firmly re-established.

I have a background in generalist HR and recruitment working across various sectors and sizes of organisations in NZ, Australia and Ireland and I’m excited to be a part of the Rural Directions team working with clients and businesses that strongly support the backbone of NZ industry.

What’s important to me

I try to maintain the ‘glass half full’ perspective in life and believe keeping communication lines open and transparent are key in ensuring we all get to the end goal together.

What happens out of work

In my spare time, and when the stars and surf align, you’ll find this sun-loving beach-lover at Te Awanga on a longboard getting my fix of ‘saltwater therapy’.  I’m also a yogi and like to keep my joints rust-free by walking, the odd jog and squeezing in some equine time when I can.

Some of my learnings

I believe that in all areas of life, changes evolve as and when they’re meant to.  One of my favourite mantras is to ‘let it flow’ and trust that things will progress when the time is right.
